On January 29 and 30, the demo dayss of the V edition of the acceleration programs of the business incubators of Carabanchel and Villaverde. In both events, the startup finalists presented their projects before a jury of experts, who chose the best pitches of both programs: PharmaDate and Prokuo, respectively.

The best pitches

PharmaDate, better pitch of the Carabanchel business incubator acceleration program, is focused on connecting pharmacies and laboratories to streamline commercial interactions. Since its founding just a year and a half ago, the platform, which already brings together more than 10,000 pharmacies and 70 brands, has recently achieved capital increases of up to 400,000 euros.

Francisco Corral and Rubén González, co-founders of PharmaDate, expressed that "this recognition is a confirmation of the effort and dedication of our team. Our goal is to continue improving the relationship between pharmacies and laboratories and add value to the sector through digitalization. “This achievement is just the beginning. “We are committed to continuing to innovate and provide practical solutions that respond to the real needs of the pharmaceutical market.”

In the case of the Villaverde business incubator acceleration program, the best pitch It was for Prokuo. This company, which belongs to the insurance sector, offers a digital platform that, with the help of artificial intelligence, simplifies by 95 % the contracting of customized insurance that the user needs, addressing a multitude of cases.

Judit Delgado, founder of Prokuo, explained that “aside from learning and helping me land concepts, they have helped me take off that small idea I had until it became a reality.”

The event featured the participation of Ángel Niño, delegate councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, who encouraged all startup to continue fighting for what they believe in and to contribute to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Madrid.

The jury of this edition

The evaluation of the project presentations, as well as the selection of the best pitches, fell to a jury of experts made up of Nacho Sánchez, iinvestment associate in Antler and pitch desk coach at Slide Hackers; María Teresa Gómez, Director of Investments and Operations of By Next Angels; Ignacio Liñán, from Enisa, and Jaime Reneses, co-founder of Tech Labs and mentor of startups.

The finalists of the Carabanchel business incubator acceleration program were:

  • VT-Lab: technology company that develops virtual and augmented reality solutions for the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) sector.
  • House of trades: intangible heritage platform, designed to bring together all traditional culture (festivals, gastronomy, folklore...).
  • Yondr: application of fitness that allows you to manage and share training and nutrition content in a personalized and easy way.
  • Eekox:marketplace that allows you to locate flexible work spaces such as coworkings.
  • Beauty Coach Academy: offers training and coaching in physical and emotional beauty.
  • Was: The Union: company marketing digital and social media.
  • Wecaria: startup dedicated to the digitalization of vehicles. It offers drivers and companies technological solutions in automotive matters.
  • Investments: provides financial education to know how to invest in the stock market.
  • Nexo Professional Community: collaborative platform to find professionals in IT, environment, telecommunications...

Villaverde business incubator

The finalists of the Villaverde business incubator acceleration program were:

  • gether: platform that connects athletes, federations or clubs with brands. They are intermediaries of influencers elite sports.
  • Amababy: company that has patented an auxiliary chair system for baby strollers to facilitate the transportation of children from 0 to 5 years old.
  • Live4Life/WeLiving: platform proptech that unites apartment owners with students. Its We Living vertical is an operator of coliving for medium and long stay.
  • wisefox: startup that facilitates a software of digital loyalty for businesses with the aim of creating actions of marketing specialized.
  • SoftQuality Bits: marketplace that helps SMEs overcome the current challenges of the digital commerce market.
  • EasyWorld Academy: offers training and coaching in English aimed at companies to know how to function in this language.
  • Datatherapy: startup that makes use of big data and of data mining to transform large amounts of data into useful scientific evidence for decision-making in the health sector.
  • Ayrel: startup specialized in the development of personalized virtual assistants to improve customer service and productivity of SMEs.
