Last week the Vicálvaro nursery hosted two notable events: the demo days of the third edition of the acceleration programs of the business incubators of Vicálvaro and San Blas.

The demo days of Vicálvaro and San Blas

A demo days not only represents the high point of four months of intense work and dedication on the part of the startup, but also becomes a showcase for innovation.

In fact, both days were a great opportunity for the startup shared their stories and answered the jury's questions, demonstrating not only the business progress experienced, but also the long-term potential of the various projects.

These acceleration programs for the Vicálvaro and San Blas business incubators have included specific training, mentoring according to the needs of each project and various events networking who have fostered their communication and leadership skills.

The event was attended by Ángel Niño, delegate councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Estrella Martín, general director of Entrepreneurship.

Projects of this edition

The participating projects in this III edition of both programs have been:

Vicalvaro

  • MISIA STUDIO: design of uniforms for hotels through a modular system and management technology, offering a circular solution. CEO and founder: Virgina Sánchez Rucabado.
  • DORMUS: application to improve children's sleep through the digitalization of methods and techniques. CEO and founder: David Blazaquez.
  • QOOMET: marketplace that connects people who want to save on travel with those who need to make urgent shipments on the same route. Founder and CEO: Juan García.
  • RELEVEGAN: creators of a canned tofu stew for vegans. Founder: Lidia Sánchez.
  • TOP ECO CLOUD – efficient modular mini data centers for Edge. CEO and founder: Vicente Hernández.
  • VERTPRO CAMPUS: service platform for companies in the implementation and operation of environmental management systems. CEO and founder: Lisandro Mancini.
  • FABERVERE: kits with tools, components and software to reduce the digital divide. Founder: José Ignacio Redondo.
  • WEPLUG: platform that connects owners of electric vehicle chargers with those who need to charge them. Founder and CEO: Carlos Eduardo Sebastiani.
  • RURAL IT: platform on-line of personalized rural experiences. Promoter: Carolina Morán.

Saint Blaise

  • BLOCK – AUTH: specialized in cybersecurity and web 3.0 technology to transform the traditional login system. Co-founder: Yassir Doutroi.
  • GINQO: responsible animal nutrition, Spanish insect-based feed. CEO: Gianpaolo Pugliese.
  • LOMEE: technological and gamified solution to prevent, monitor and improve anxiety and depression in young people. CEO: Francisco J. Tavira.
  • PIXDRIVES: yessoftware of user experience capture and pendulum traceability SaaS of data analysis through artificial intelligence. Promoter: Mario Guerra.
  • BWISE: SaaS platform for financial institutions that uses artificial intelligence to optimize pricing strategies. CEO and co-founder: Alex Mendez.
  • FILTROO: first loyalty platform for social networks. Founder and CEO: Maxence de Damas.
  • 55 + LAB: hub of innovation for research into quality of life after 55 years of age. Co-founder: Marta Adanez.

The jury of the third edition

The panel of judges, leading experts from the Madrid Emprende entrepreneurial ecosystem, included Nacho Sánchez Vázquez (Antler), Enrique Sanchez Sumozas (Black Horizon), Ignacio Liñán (ENISA) and María Teresa Gómez (By Next Angels).

This jury played a crucial role in choosing the best pitch of this edition. Of all the projects it was Qoomet who won the prize in Vicálvaro. And in the case of San Blas, the award for best pitch it was for Ginko.

Some of the participants shared their impressions about the experience in the programs. Juan García, founder and CEO of Qoomet, expressed that "the support and guidance have been fundamental for the project." For her part, Virginia Sánchez Rucabado, founder and CEO of Misia Estudio, commented that "the program has provided us with an enriching and collaborative environment. This experience has allowed us to take our proposal to new horizons.”
