“Lead the way” with the 14th edition of the Entrepreneurs Award

Published the XIV edition of Entrepreneurs Award, convened by the Madrid City Council. The application submission period will remain open until April 3 at 11:59 p.m.

The main objective of this award is to contribute to the recognition of original, creative and innovative projects carried out by women to promote and promote the female entrepreneurship, marking the way to generating employment and increasing economic activity in the city of Madrid, contributing to eliminating the existing gender gap.

This call has the following sponsors: Womenalia, the Spanish Association of Business Women of Madrid (ASEME), the King Juan Carlos University (URJC), wave madrid, PwC Spain, IBM and Crisalion Mobility.

Participation Requirements

The 2024 Entrepreneurial Award goes addressed to women-led businesses. can participate natural persons or legal entities with a majority participation of women (more than 50%) in the shares or participations.

To participate in this edition, companies must have started its activity business between January 1, 2019 and the last day of the deadline established to submit applications. They must also be billing for the project for which they are nominated for this award.

Additionally, they must have a business project that is original, creative, disruptive and innovative, with or without a technological base, aimed at covering needs in different areas (environment, health and well-being, gastronomy, education, commerce, fashion, finance, e-commerce, tourism, industry, infrastructure, logistics , energy or similar). Lastly, they must have a service or a prototype of a tested product in the market with already measured or measurable results.

The total financial award is 100,000 euros, divided into different prizes:

The first prize “Entrepreneur of the year 2024” is endowed with €20,000; the second, with 15,000 euros; and the third, with 10,000 euros. 11 second prizes will also be awarded, financially endowed with 5,000 euros each one of them.

10. Entrepreneur with the best project in the environmental field
11. Entrepreneur with the best project in the STEM sector.

In turn, the winning companies will receive different contributions in kind from the sponsors.

Presentation of applications

The requests must be submitted  together with the executive summary of the business plan, accessing the City Council's Electronic Headquarters:  Application for participation in the 2024 Entrepreneurs Award.

Legal entities are required to submit the application electronically.

The application submission period ends on April 3 at 11:59 p.m.
